Childhood Vaccination Schedule in India – Know it to Ensure Proper Vaccination for Your Child

In every country, there are a lot of difficulties in reaching the maturity stage of a newborn baby. These difficulties are diseases, epidemics, malnutrition, and low mental development. Today’s youth is educated and motivated to take the necessary steps for in the interest of their kid’s physical, mental, and behavioural development. They know that bringing a child in this world is not a big deal until you give him/her a healthy life.

The Indian government has made a vaccination schedule for the overall development of our kids. Childhood vaccination services are available in all the child care clinics. Though the schedules are available, you should also keep a check of the same to ensure that you don’t miss any vaccine of your kid. Below you can see the childhood vaccination schedule in India:
  • First vaccination: From the time of birth under a few days a child needs BCG, OPV (0), and hepatitis B.
  • Second vaccination: After six weeks of birth our kids need a second dose of Penta1, OPV1 (DPT+ HEP B+ HiB). 
  • Third dose: When the age of your kid is 10 weeks, it’s time to visit the best child care centre again for his/ her third dose of Penta2, OPV2 (DPT+HEP B+ HiB).
  • Fourth dose: If his/her 14th week is going on then give the fourth dose of Penta3, OPV3 (DPT+HEP B+ HiB), and IPV. These doses will support your kid’s right development and will protect from illness.
  • Fifth dose: Mark a reminder in your calendar for the fifth dose of MMR-1/ MR/ Measles, JE vaccine-1. This dose will be given when your child is running his ninth month.
  • Sixth dose: OPV booster, DPT 1 booster, and JE vaccine-2 are the next dose for your kids. This dose is given to the kids when his age reaches 16 to 24 months.
  • Seventh does: DPT 2nd booster is given to the kids between 5 to 6 years.
  • Eighth & ninth dose: TT1 is for children of 10 years ago, and TT2 is for children about 16 years of age.
All these vaccinations are just for the immunity and development of your kids, so be punctual to avail all doses for your kids.
